Aeropostale Partners with YouTube Star

The new fragrance is in a heart-shaped bottle with a decorative cap, plus charms.

Bethany Mota has launched her first fragrance –Bethany Mota Eau de Parfum – and she partnered with Aeropostale to bring it to market. 

Mota created her YouTube channel Macbarbie07 in 2009, which now has more than six million subscribers. She has already partnered with the retailer in 2013, on a clothing collection. 

Emilia Fabricant, executive vice president at Aeropostale commented:

“We are thrilled to continue and expand our partnership with Bethany…[She] is authentic and our core customers closely identify with her. She is a wonderful role model, has been an Aeropostale customer herself for years, and is a truly natural fit for the brand.” 

The fragrance’s heart-shaped bottle is “dusted with gold,” the brand says, and topped with a cap decorated in a tribal pattern. There are three gold charms hanging around the bottle’s neck. There is also a black bow on top of the cap, which can be used as a hair accessory. The bottle is etched in black ink with “xoxo Beth.” 

The scent was developed by perfumer Beth Pritchard of Sunrise Beauty. It’s a floral fruity gourmand that includes top notes of bergamot, red berry melange and white peach; a heart of cotton candy, praline and strawberry flower; and a drydown of vanilla sugar, crystallized musk and creamy wood. 

The fragrance retails for $25 for 1.7oz, or there is a shimmer perfume roller ball, $12.
